Jacob was so sweet to tell his teacher that I make great cakes, and that I would love to make a cake for the 2nd grade patriotic program! I even had a couple days to pull it together after I found out about his generous offer;) The look on his face and the attention he got from all his friend's and all the teacher's was well worth the work! He was so proud and grateful. I love this kid so much!
I am a stay at home Mom with lots of kids. I wrote a blog post about my life that went viral in January of 2014. If you're new here read that post first. It's called "My Name is Julie". Our family is blended. I have 4 sons with my late husband Jake. I married Curtis in 2006. He had 4 sons as well. We had our first child together, Cameron in 2008 making 9 boys. In July of 2011 I finally got a girl, making 10 kids in all. I enjoy speaking on my experiences and sharing my story. My husband has currently started a new business called qpquo. It is an online social commerse site that works with the facebook yardsale groups. It has been a fun adventure and scary too! We have a busy crazy life and love it! www.qpquo.com To read my viral post go to http://breakingthesilence-cam.blogspot.com/2012/11/my-name-is-julie.html
Jacob is 5 and he is my biggest helper. He helps me decide what kind of cake to use. He helps bake and decorate all the cakes. He is also the best dishwasher I have found. He sits at the sink and washes all the bowls, utinsels and pans that get dirty. He does a very good job. I love working with him. *Update-Jacob is 9 now...and still my biggest help in the kitchen!
Here is a quick pic of all my cakes, the top is the most recent cake done.
